Who We Are:

Jerricho Cotchery Jr., wide receiver for The New York Jets, and his wife Mercedes, established The Cotchery Foundation to benefit underprivileged youth. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire kids to conceive and achieve goals by providing programs and services designed to enhance their futures.  The Cotcherys have set out to help these children understand that ordinary people can do extraordinary things if they have the desire and passion.

 

What We Do:

The Cotchery Foundation’s goal is to enhance the opportunities currently available to disadvantaged youth by partnering with established, but underfunded programs struggling to meet the increasing demand on their services.  By funding proven reading programs in public schools, exposing at-risk students to local heroes with whom they share similar backgrounds, and helping increase access to local resources, The Cotchery Foundation aims to show the youth of our community that the sky is the limit if they apply themselves accordingly.

How You Can Help:

On Monday, October 19th, we will be hosting our second annual celebrity fundraising event in the NY/NJ area, to benefit local charities that open windows of opportunity to underprivileged children.  This year's beneficiaries will be Citizen Schools, and Pride Academy Charter School, two organizations that provide services to kids in our area.     We hope you’ll join us, along with our friends from the Jets, and other distinguished guests, to help raise funds to benefit the disadvantaged youth of our area.
